How does the mobile specialty clinic work?

Dr. Mich does not do house calls. Instead, she comes to the referring veterinary practice (when parking and location permit).  This allows clients to remain near their home clinic and facilitates  the collaborative relationship with the family DVM.  When needed, additional work up such as labwork and radiographs are done by the family DVM. Dr. Mich performs musculoskeletal ultrasound as needed. Once an evaluation is completed, a detailed and comprehensive case report is sent to the family DVM as well as to the client. Also Dr. Mich communicates directly with clients throughout the process.  Her goal is for everyone to be on the same page in managing the patient.  Lastly, if a sedated procedure is recommended, for example joint injection, this is done inside the home clinic when possible supporting the client bond.
